Moving Toward Recovery - Support trauma-aware yoga programs this EOFY

“Yoga helped me felt safe in my own body.”
– Participant, Trauma-Aware Yoga Program

Every day, we meet people living with the invisible wounds of trauma, anxiety, and depression. For many, traditional forms of support haven’t reached them — or haven’t worked. But yoga, when offered with care and understanding, can open a new path toward recovery.

Trauma-aware yoga offers more than movement. It creates a safe space to reconnect with the body, regulate the nervous system, and gently rebuild trust — in self, in others, in life.

At The Yoga Foundation, our programs are designed for those who need it most:

🧘Women recovering from domestic, family & sexual violence
🧘 Refugees and asylum seekers
🧘 Young people facing adversity
🧘 Communities affected by trauma and disconnection

This End of Financial Year, you can help us keep these programs free and accessible. Support us to raise $20,000 to expand our yoga programs for at-risk groups in 2026. We are aiming to reach the unreached and broaden access to trauma-aware yoga. Over 15 years of service The Yoga Foundation has created strong, consistent demand through the measurable benefits of our trauma-aware yoga programs. Each week, we see firsthand the positive impact on participants navigating trauma, mental illness, and social isolation. However, our reach is currently constrained by limited funding and operational capacity.

Choose any amount to donate below. Want to support a particular group? Just leave us a note—it's optional but always welcome. Donate before June 30 and claim your tax benefit while making a lasting difference. Together, we can move more people toward recovery.

Your donation brings:

  • Evidence-based yoga classes to safe, welcoming spaces

  • Qualified teachers trained in trauma-aware practice

  • Healing tools for people navigating life after trauma

  • Real recovery — one breath, one class, one person at a time

There is a clear and urgent unmet community need — a growing population of unreached participants we are not yet able to serve. This funding will allow us to expand our reach and impact in 2026.

Our well-established partner network consistently brings us more and more demand for classes and continued positive impact on their communities.

Your tax-deductible gift will directly support our work with individuals and communities often left behind by mainstream services.
