Giving Yoga Week 2020 a Success!

2020 has been a tough year. Recognising this we really wanted to give something meaningful that people could use to support them in challenging times. What better gift than yoga? It’s what we are all about.

Giving Yoga Week Sessions

We offered eleven high quality sessions, either live streamed or recorded, from 14-21 June. This enabled us showcase the diversity of a yoga practice and the quality and skill of the teachers. Giving Yoga Week culminated on the UN International Day of Yoga with a talk from Founding Director Dr Michael de Manincor Yoga in healthcare - a global perspective.

Supports donate for Giving Yoga Week 2020

Giving Yoga Week inspired many donations from supporters which in turn gives yoga to the at-risk groups The Yoga Foundation supports. 100% of funds raised will go to programming so we can deliver more evidence-based services to young people in need, women affected by domestic violence and men whose lives are at risk due to mental health challenges.

The team loved giving yoga during this special week and honouring and celebrating what this ancient practice can do for people’s wellbeing and quality of life.
